BRUNE SMITH
Hey, I'm Brune.ā
ā
I'm a French podcast producer and host, trauma-informed storytelling expert, and creation consultant.
I live in Brussels and have strong ties to Canada.
āā
In 2018 in Toronto where I was living at the time, I dared to tell a true and personal story on stage. āA difficult one.
ā
After a lifetime of being mostly reserved, I felt heard, and the audience felt seen.
ā
I told a few more stories at shows across the city, and then I had the weirdest idea.
ā
It was 2019.
I created a monthly, true storytelling show... on Zoom.
I wanted tellers and listeners the world over to experience that instant, healing sense of community.
ā
āIt was the first ever online storytelling show. I called it Bodies of Stories.
ā
A few months later, covid hit, and I was invited to co-found and co-produce the world's first online storytelling festival.
ā
I produced and hosted Bodies of Stories for a year and a half, and selected 20 of the stories told live on the show and put them in a book.
ā
I came back to Europe, chose Brussels for its cosmopolitan culture and, because there is no storytelling scene here (yet!), I turned to podcasting.
ā
I've since created 3 podcasts of my own, (interviews, solo episodes, narrative/investigative production), and become a professional podcast producer.
For a European podcast company, I recently produced a podcast series on the impact of AI on the podcast industry.ā
ā
As a creation consultant, I've helped people center what matters most to them and create:
ā
Books. Screenplays. Companies. Podcasts. YouTube channels. Events. Performances. Communities.
ā
I think strategically and I'm good at unblocking creators back into action and flow.ā
āā
I offer one-off and ongoing support.
ā
Both start with a little chat so we can connect and I can pinpoint how to help you carry out your vision.
ā
āIf that's something you feel might benefit you, my calendar is open.
ā
Welcome.
